Pearce was followed by Nathaniel [second] (1719-1765); his sister Elizabeth married
the Rector, the Reverend Thomas May (q.v.). The "Isted Estate" map
(1758) (q.v.) shows the extent of "Mr. Pearce's land" and details of
the "names of enclosures" which are of particular interest. "B.I"
refers to the inn where the Old Posting House now stands; "F" shows
the site of St. Margaret's Chapel (q.v.).
